Playing our part on the world stage
Final call for our crowdfunder, an upcoming film, opinion pieces on the role of social media, and more.
Dear Climate Majority,
Our crowdfunder is closing in two days, and we are just £4000 short of reaching our target! By contributing to reach this goal, you will be helping us identify, resource and fund new initiatives and campaigns that strategically organise ambitious climate and biodiversity responses outside the activist bubble.
Radical tactics have massively shifted public awareness in the UK. It is the Climate Majority Project’s purpose to mobilise urgent climate action in communities and professions with all those who see there is a problem, but cannot or don’t want to glue themselves to anything.
This Autumn, we will be focusing on the ‘Regulate Us’ business campaign (the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ recent report on climate change scenarios in financial services is one of many encouraging signs that demanding new business policies is ready to go mainstream) along with the climate and collapse anxiety campaign. Stay tuned, donate, or get involved!
We are also delighted to share this opinion piece written by Hugh Knowles, co-director of Friends of the Earth, “The Revolution will not Be on Social Media,” exclusively published on our website.
Coming out soon is a short film about the Climate Majority with Carice Van Houten (the Red Woman in Game of Thrones) and other cast from that series. This in itself is an example of actors playing their part on the world stage, leveraging their position and skills to heighten awareness of the most pressing issue of our time.
Play your part too in supporting climate action beyond the climate bubble with what you can afford.
Best regards,
The CMP Team
