The Climate Majority Project has launched
On ways to take action, broad media coverage, volunteering, an upcoming crowdfunder, and more...
Dear Climate Majority,
Thank you so much for supporting the Climate Majority Project from the beginning. We’re proud and excited to see it reach more and more people, as we work to make the silent, climate-concerned majority aware of itself.
Over the last year, we have kept inquiring into what conditions can bring about a serious response from citizens to the Climate and Ecological Emergency - something our leaders have thus far been unable to deliver on.
On June 29, at our official launch in London we announce this project to the public with a press conference. You hold a crucial piece of the picture: please do all you can to share our story across social media and help the climate majority to become aware of itself.
The last couple of weeks has seen significant media coverage of the Climate Majority Project (expect to see us tomorrow on Good Morning Britain!), snowballing from our general letter which was co-signed by 25 (and counting) prominent personalities from across the political divide; from famous radical activists to Olympic athletes and Tory peers. You can read about our recent media coverage below.
You may be wondering what you can do now to bring serious climate action to your workplace or community - below you’ll find a whole host of ways you can get involved.
We sincerely thank you for joining us on this journey,
The Climate Majority Project Team
Take Action
The work that you find to do in the climate movement will be different according to your circumstances, needs and unique talents.
But while it’s not our place to tell you what to do, we can point to some areas of life where citizens have real power – and where people have already begun taking serious climate action into their own hands.
The main areas in which we support people in finding their work to do are:
On Social Media
Your social media support is another vital climate step to take with us - and we appreciate you following the Climate Majority Project on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. And please add #ClimateMajority when sharing our messages.
Be a Patron of the Climate Majority
We have come this far because many individuals decided the future the Climate Majority Project is working towards is worth investing in, for their children and grandchildren too. If you feel you have some capacity to support us financially, we would greatly appreciate your donation gift here.
Also look out for a crowdfunding campaign which we are kickstarting and will share with you in the coming days. If you can, please share and participate.
Volunteering
Since our prelaunch, many people have reached out to us, offering to volunteer. We are piloting a volunteer process which aims at leveraging the skills and expertise of those involved, and creating a network of people who help each other deepen their commitment to taking care of nature and people in their lives.
If you would also like to join a team and lend your energy and expertise to helping build a climate majority, please fill out this volunteer form.
